Date of the Full Moon in Sagittarius: June 11, 2025
Theme: Illumination, Truth, and Turning Love into Action
The moon is full once again — round and radiant in the sign of Sagittarius, asking us to widen our view, speak our truth, and reflect on how far we’ve come.
This isn’t just any full moon. It’s the Strawberry Moon or as I picture it the heart berry moon, and shared so beautifully by Asha Frost. In Anishinaabe teachings, the strawberry — or ode’imin — is the first berry of the season, shaped like a heart, and a reminder of the power of love in motion. Not love as concept, but love as action.
This moon invites us to ask:
What does it look like to act from love, not just feel it?
What wisdom is ripening within me — and what am I ready to release?
Sagittarius Full Moon Energy
This Full Moon sits at 20° Sagittarius, opposite the Gemini Sun. Ruled by Jupiter, this moon expands our awareness, stretches our stories, and calls us to embody our beliefs with clarity and courage.
Element: Fire
Ruling Planet: Jupiter
Sabian Symbol: “In winter, people are cutting ice from a frozen pond for summer use.”
➤ This reminds us that old wisdom — even frozen, forgotten, or buried — still carries medicine. And now is the time to let it melt and move.
A Look Back: Sagittarius New Moon (Nov 30, 2024)
Every Full Moon is a reflection point — a culmination of intentions planted six months ago under the New Moon in the same sign.
So, think back to December 1, 2024.
- What were you dreaming into existence?
- What arrow did you shoot without expectation?
- What vision whispered to you when things were still dark and dormant?
Even if you don’t remember your exact intention, you’ll feel the echoes. Sagittarius teaches us to aim boldly — and then surrender control.
My Garden as a Mirror
This week, I found myself in the backyard.
Yesterday: clearing weeds.
Today: planting seeds.
It felt like ritual — like tending my own inner world through my hands and soil. Each seed a promise. Each space cleared a release.
And I smiled, knowing:
The energy I give with love comes back wilder and sweeter than I can imagine.
Just like life. Just like this moon.
Journal Prompts for the Full Moon in Sagittarius
Settle in with your journal. Light a candle. Breathe deeply. Let the moonlight — or your own soft glow — guide you inward.
- What truth has this Full Moon illuminated for me?
- What intention did I plant under the Sagittarius New Moon (Nov 30)? How has that journey unfolded?
- What outdated belief, fear, or frozen wisdom is ready to melt into movement?
- What does love in action look like in my life — right now?
A Simple Release Ritual
Clearing the Path for Heart-Led Action
Before we can embody heart-led action, we must first make space.
This ritual is a gentle invitation to shed the stories, identities, or beliefs that no longer reflect your truth — so you can walk forward lighter, freer, and more rooted in who you’re becoming.
You’ll Need:
- A piece of paper
- A candle (for fire release) or a bowl of water (for emotional transmutation)
- A quiet, sacred space to breathe and reflect
Step 1: Write Your Release
Take a deep breath. Bring your awareness into your heart.
On your paper, write down one thing you’re ready to release.
Let it come from the tender places — the parts of you Sagittarius is illuminating with fire and truth.
You might release:
- A self-worth story rooted in proving or perfection
- A belief about your purpose that feels more like pressure than passion
- A mask or identity you’ve outgrown — the version of you that played small, stayed safe, or chased freedom through escape
- A truth you clung to, but now realize has become a cage instead of a compass
Step 2: Speak the Gratitude + Release
Hold your paper gently in both hands.
Whisper:
“Thank you for what you taught me.
I honour the role you played.
But I no longer need to carry you.”
When you feel ready, release it.
- Burn it safely in the flame, letting the smoke carry your surrender
- Or, place it into water, and let it dissolve into softness and flow
Step 3: Breathe
Place your hand over your heart.
Close your eyes.
Inhale deeply…
Exhale fully…
Feel what’s shifted. Even subtly.
Feel the weight you no longer carry.
The Heart Berry Intention
Turning Love Into Motion
Now, hold a strawberry — or something sweet that symbolizes love and nourishment.
Let this be your heart medicine, your next step, your promise to act.
Whisper into the fruit (or your hands):
“From my heart,
I choose to put this into action.”
Eat the strawberry slowly. With reverence.
Let it become a living vow — not just to feel love, but to live it.
To bring your heart into the world in small, meaningful ways.
Closing Words
This moon doesn’t want you to keep your love inside.
It wants you to speak it.
Share it.
Grow something with it.
Tend your garden.
Choose your action.
Let your truth walk beside you.
We don’t gather moonlight for the sake of beauty — we gather it to become who we already are.
