On February 28, 2025, the New Moon arrived in Pisces, marking a deeply spiritual and transformative moment in the lunar cycle. This was not just any New Moon—this was a magical and fortunate time to lean into our visions. With the lunar energy urging us to embrace our creative minds and romantic hearts, we let the cosmos inspire us to move toward greatness and transcend with the flow of the universe.

A New Moon Without a Moon Circle

For the first time, I didn’t host an in-person Moon Circle. With Aquarius in my 4th house, my focus has been entirely on the health and wellness of my youngest. This season of life has taught me so much—first and foremost, that healing sometimes requires suffering, and it most definitely requires commitment and an abundance of love.

Many times, I wanted to rush to our family doctor for a quick fix, a band-aid to hide the symptom. But beneath the surface, a deeper issue was brewing. The real solution required eliminating many foods and focusing on gut healing. It’s been a journey of patience and trust, much like the path the Pisces energy invites us to walk.

The RedPath Circle & A Divine Sign

It felt like no coincidence that my RedPath Circle, which I host every Thursday night for the community, fell on the exact date of the New Moon in Pisces. I took this as a sign that Pisces was to be our teaching of the night.

We gathered at 5 PM for a meal my son prepared—delicious chicken Alfredo. We shared our updates and set the tone for the evening. This week, we read ‘The Legend of the Silverfin’s Journey’: a tale of surrender, transformation, and finding guidance in nature. The story of Silverfin swimming upstream, meeting wise animal guides, and finding his sacred purpose resonated deeply with all of us.

The Legend of the Silverfin’s Journey

In the time when the world was young and every river held a song of spirit, the sacred waters of the great North flowed under the glow of a new moon. On one such night, when the veil between the seen and unseen was thin, a young salmon named Silverfin felt the pull of destiny in his shimmering scales.

Silverfin was small but brave, his silver body reflecting the moon’s gentle light. As the new moon in Pisces crowned the night, the water whispered ancient secrets in a language only the heart could understand. It spoke of renewal, transformation, and the boundless flow of life—lessons carried on every ripple and tide.

Compelled by this sacred call, Silverfin began his arduous journey upstream. Along the way, he met a wise old Turtle, whose slow, steady steps reminded him that true strength is born from patience. “The river flows as it must,” the Turtle intoned, “carry your dreams with humility and learn from each bend.”

Further along the winding stream, a graceful Loon glided above the dark waters. Its haunting call echoed like a prayer, urging Silverfin to trust the mysteries of the deep. “Surrender to the current,” the Loon sang, “and let the spirit of water guide you through change.”

In a grove where the water danced with sunlight, a clever Coyote appeared at the water’s edge. With a mischievous gleam in his eyes, the Coyote taught Silverfin that sometimes the path forward requires both daring and play. “Embrace the unpredictable,” the Coyote chided gently, “for the flow of life is as wild as the wind through the pines.”

Finally, as Silverfin neared the source of the sacred river, a majestic Eagle soared overhead. In its piercing gaze, he saw the reflection of his own spirit—ever-changing, ever-evolving. The Eagle cried out from the heavens, “Rise above fear, little one, and know that your journey is part of the great circle of life.”

Under that luminous new moon, Silverfin surrendered to the river’s embrace. He let go of the old and allowed the currents to carry him toward his destiny. With every twist and turn, he learned that transformation was not a single event but a continual dance with the water’s eternal rhythm.

At long last, Silverfin reached a hidden pool—a sacred gathering place known among all the creatures as the Redpath Circle. There, beneath the watchful eyes of the Turtle, Loon, Coyote, and Eagle, he shared the wisdom of his journey. His heart overflowed with the truth that life, like water, is ever fluid, ever renewing, and that true vision is born from surrendering to the natural flow of the spirit.

In that quiet, hallowed moment, all the animals gathered to reflect upon the lessons of Pisces: the power of intuition, the beauty of transformation, and the strength found in embracing the unknown. And as they sat together in the soft glow of the new moon, they knew that the spirit of the river—and the spirit of life—would guide them in creating their own visions for a world renewed by hope and endless possibility.

Then we Reflected on Our Inner Journey:

Think about Silverfin’s courageous upstream journey. What inner obstacles or old patterns do you feel ready to let go of this season? How can you invite transformation into your own life?

Identify Your Animal Guide:
Each animal in the story (the Turtle, Loon, Coyote, and Eagle) offered unique wisdom. Which of these guides speaks to you the most, and what lesson do you think they are offering for your next chapter?

Flow Like Water:
The river in the legend symbolizes constant change and renewal. In what ways do you see your life as a flowing river? What might you release to allow a more natural, creative flow to take over?

Envision a New Beginning:
Under the gentle glow of the New Moon in Pisces, imagine a future where you have embraced change. What does that future look like? Try drawing or writing a short narrative that captures this vision.

Balance and Integration:
The story shows a balance between patience (Turtle), intuition (Loon), playful daring (Coyote), and soaring vision (Eagle). How can you incorporate these qualities into your daily life? Which quality needs more attention right now?

Honoring the Cycle:
As the final moon of winter, this New Moon marks a transition. Reflect on what the ending of winter means for you. What aspects of the past do you wish to honor, and what seeds of new possibilities will you plant for the coming season?

Creative Expression:
Using art, music, or movement, express the journey of transformation. What colors, sounds, or images emerge when you think about moving from winter’s stillness into a season of renewal?

Create Your Vision from Your Intentions: Pisces New Moon Ritual

The New Moon in Pisces is a powerful time to plant seeds of intention that will blossom in the spring. This ritual will help you transform your intentions into a tangible vision, allowing you to carry forward what serves you and release what no longer aligns with your path.

What You’ll Need:

Light the candle and place the bowl of water in front of you. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Imagine the New Moon’s energy surrounding you, a soft and gentle embrace.

Reflect on the Past Season:
Write down what you are leaving behind. These could be old patterns, fears, limiting beliefs, or situations that no longer serve your growth. Reflect on:

Call in the New:
On a fresh piece of paper, write your intentions for this New Moon. Think about what you want to bring forward into spring:

  • What dreams are you ready to nurture?
  • What qualities do you want to embody?
  • What visions do you have for your life in the coming months?

Create Your Vision Board:
Use magazines, images, words, and colors that resonate with your intentions. As you cut, glue, and create, infuse your vision board with your hopes and dreams. Visualize each image coming to life as you craft.

“I release what no longer serves me. I nurture my dreams with love, and I trust the universe to guide my path forward with grace and ease.”

Bringing It All Together:

This ritual is more than a moment; it’s the first step in a journey. As spring approaches, revisit your vision board. Notice what’s growing and adjust your path as needed. The seeds you plant under the Pisces New Moon will carry you forward, blooming into the life you envision.

Dream big, trust the flow, and honor the cycle of creation.

    A Deeper Reflection

This weekend, I allowed myself the space to reflect deeper. I sat with my creation, adding my words, my spells, and my intention to the vision I had built. It was a reminder that sometimes the most profound circles are not the ones we lead, but the ones where we allow ourselves to simply be. The final New Moon of winter brought me a gift of stillness, surrender, and the reminder that healing is not always linear—but it is always filled with love.

As we stand at the threshold of a new season and a new astrological year, this Pisces New Moon asked us to let go, trust, and dream. Like Silverfin in the story, I found myself surrendering to the current, trusting the flow, and embracing the vision of what is yet to come.

May this story inspire you to find your own flow, honor your own healing, and trust in the magic of new beginnings.
